The Scorpian

She walks with strength

Her focus unbroken

Her strides long and purposeful

Don’t bother using your usual tricks

They will not get her attention

What she seeks is your heart

And your unadulterated mind

The things you try to hide from others

Your weaknesses

Your truth

She is born from ashes

A creature of the dark

Crawling out of her hiding spot to explore the light

Forgive the ferocity in which she protects herself

She knows she is alone

She understands her own worth

She is at once vulnerable and untouchable

The embodiment of coy at her very best

Unpredictable, yet stable

Like a controlled substance

Loyalty is in her blood, but don’t you dare fuck her over

She is like a scorpion, harmless until threatened

Her stinger aims to kill

Don’t get too comfortable

She knows how to charm

How to play nice

How to make you believe you are in control

Until she feels the need to remind you of your place

It is then that she will make you bleed,

slash you from your heart to your navel

and then watch with despair at the mess she’s made

She will steal your heart without trying

And worry about the ease in which she can manipulate if she really wanted to

She needs an equal

Wants someone who pushes back

Someone who is strong but willing to bend

Someone confident and trustworthy

Someone who can handle a scorpion without getting stung

Or better yet,

someone who is immune to her poison
